Addis Ababa, October 4, 2020 (FBC) – Irreechaa, a thanksgiving festival of the Oromo people, has been celebrated in a ceremony held at Hora Arsede in Bishoftu town.
The Oromo people celebrate Irreechaa to thank Waaqa (God) for the blessings and mercies they have received throughout the previous year.
Irreechaa was also celebrated in the capital Addis Ababa yesterday.
This year’s celebrations took place with a limited number of people due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
