IPDC invites Portuguese investors to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, July 11, 2023 (FBC) – Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC) has invited Portuguese investors to invest in Ethiopia.

IPDC held a discussion with Portuguese investors on ways of investing in industrial parks and Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.

It is stated that the discussion, led by IPDC focused on investment attraction was held in Lisbon, Portugal.

IPDC CEO, Aklilu Tadesse, and other senior officials as well as Dire Dawa City Mayor Keder Juhar, Hawassa City Mayor Assistant Professor Tsagaye Tuke and managers of various industrial parks participated in the discussion.

In the discussion, investment options, convenient infrastructure and investment incentives in Ethiopia, especially in industrial parks and the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone were presented and discussed, and seven investors in Portugal were invited to invest in Ethiopia.

In addition to investment, the discussion is said to be a forum for sharing experiences and positive interactions between industrial parks and cities.

It is to be recall that a delegation led by the IPDC CEO, Aklilu Tadese, met with the Portuguese ambassador in Addis Ababa, Luisa Fragoso, and reached an agreement to cooperate on investment and related issues.
