Addis Ababa, December 25, 2022 (FBC) – The UN International Organization for Migration (IOM) with support from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the Government of UK has provided infection prevention and control items worth more than 859,000 USD to the Ministry of Health.
The donation includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for carrying for patients with COVID 19 other necessary supplies to curb spread of the pandemic.
Chief of Mission of IOM Ethiopia, Zhao Jian handed over the infection prevention and control items to the Health Minister, Dr. Lia Tadesse.
Highlighting need to curtail spread of the Omicron variant COVID 19 pandemic, Dr. Lia lauded the support delivered by IOM and FCDO in bolstering preventive measures being carried out by the Ministry of Health and strengthening the health system at national level.
