IOM Director General arrives in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, October 8, 2023 (FBC) – The new Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM, also known as UN Migration Agency), Amy E. Pope arrived in Addis Ababa this morning for official working visit.
This is her official trip since she assumed office as the new chief of the UN Migration Agency last week.
In her first press briefing last week in Geneva, Amy Pope confirmed that she will start her first-ever trip as head of IOM in Addis Ababa to discuss with Ethiopian government officials and the African Union leadership.
In that regard, she’ll hold meetings with the Government of Ethiopia and African Union Commission officials, donors, partners and IOM staff in Addis Ababa.
