Addis Ababa, February 14, 2021 (FBC) –The European Union (EU) Envoy and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Pekka Haavisto, paid a two-day visit to Ethiopia last week.
In a twitter post, the Envoy said he had “substantive meetings with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, the President, and other key ministers.”
“Main issue was humanitarian access to Tigray. International humanitarian organizations doing good work,” he added.
Haavisto also held discussion with Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and AU Commissioner for Peace and Security, Ambassador Smail Chergui, on EU-AU cooperation.
