Addis Ababa, December 24, 2024 (FMC) – National intelligence institutions of Ethiopia and Somalia have discussed matters pertaining to mutual challenges, opportunities and the way forward.
Intelligence cooperation between the two neighboring countries was deliberated during a meeting between the Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Service of Ethiopia (NISS), Redwan Hussein, and Abdulahi Mohammed Ali, Head of National Intelligence and Security Agency of Somalia (NISA).
In a message posted social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Redwan noted that they discussed a host of mutual challenges, opportunities and the way forward.
This discussion, according to DG Redwan, is a follow up of the Ankara Declaration. During their meeting, both officials vowed to move on and “keep detractors from near and afar who are bent on derailment at bay.”
