Addis Ababa, April 18, 2023 (FBC) – Peter Siarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, affirmed that his country is ready to scale up its trade relations with Ethiopia.
The Minister of Trade and Regional Integration of Ethiopia, Gebremeskel Chala, held a discussion with the Hungarian delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Siarto.
During the meeting, Gebremeskel emphasized the gap in trade relations between the two countries.
He stated that to expedite the bilateral trade relations, efforts will be undertaken to further strengthen the ties between the two countries and narrow the trade balance gap.
For his part, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Ciarto, said that his country will work to improve trade relations between the two countries by importing agricultural products from Ethiopia.
He affirmed that Hungary is ready to increase the trade relations and economic benefits of the two countries by engaging its investors in Ethiopia in agriculture, water, green energy, software development and best seed development sectors.
