Addis Ababa, September 8, 2020 (FBC) – The Women Caucus in the House of Peoples Representatives has delivered humanitarian support amounting 7 Million Birr to the displaced who fled their home following the unrest triggered by death of the prominent singer, Hachalu Hundessa.
The support extended to the displaced being sheltered at West Harerge Zone by the Women Caucus of the house include household essentials such as utilities and basic consumer goods needed by the beneficiaries.
Coordinator of the Caucus, Mrs. Fantaye Bablo the donation is aimed to show sympathy for the victims and encourage them to withstand the circumstances through sense of belongingness.
The members of the Caucus called for maintenance of love, peace and harmony which the people live in the area are known for through generations.
Vice Administrator of the West Harerge Zone, Ayalew Takelle said that the zonal government organs along with security forces are bringing those who are suspected to involve in instigating the disorder in to justice to maintain law and order.
