Addis Ababa, June 15, 2021 (FBC) – The House of Peoples Representatives, it its 6th year 15th regular session, has deliberated on the 561.7 Billion Birr that has been referred to it by the Council of Ministers last week.
On the session, the Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shede explained about the economic reform activities that has been carried out by the government over the last years.
He said that the government has prioritized core economic sectors focused at benefiting the general public and fast tracking holistic development and growth.
According to the Minister, a wide range of measures have been taken in the agricultural sector so far to ensure food security and replace imports by local products.
The parliament thoroughly discussed the 2021/2022 Ethiopian fiscal year budget resolution that has been passed by the Council of Ministers and finally referred the draft to the Revenue Budget and Finance Affairs Standing Committer for further assessment.
