Addis Ababa, July 4, 2024 (FBC) – The House of People’s Representatives of Ethiopia (HoPR) approved the 2024/25 (2017 E.C) fiscal year budget of the federal government as 971.2 billion birr.
The federal government budget bill was forwarded to the parliament last month by the Council of Ministers for further consideration and final approval.
The House of People’s Representatives held its 36th regular session today in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed where the federal government’s 2024/25 fiscal year budget received final approval by the House.
It was also pointed out that the federal government’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year is mainly intended to accelerate economic and social development endeavors in Ethiopia.
