Addis Ababa, November 14, 2024 (FBC) – A high-level Chinese delegation from Jiangsu Province, led by Governor Xu Kunlin, arrived in Addis Ababa this morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA Ethiopia) announced.
Upon their arrival at Bole International Airport, the delegates were greeted by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano; Director-General of Middle East, Asian and Pacific Affairs, Ambassador Negus Kebede, and Senior officials from the MFA Ethiopia.
The delegation, which includes senior government officials and leaders of anchor companies from Jiangsu, is expected to hold discussions with senior government officials during their stay in Addis Ababa.
The delegation will also participate in the China-Africa (Ethiopia) Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum, which opens later today in Addis Ababa.
Jiangsu reportedly boasts the second largest economy among Chinese provinces. 76 of its companies are engaged in investment sectors in Ethiopia, with investments exceeding 1.3 billion dollars.
