Addis Ababa, October 30, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian government started delivering humanitarian aid and medical supplies in the liberated areas of Tigray region.
The National Disaster Risk Management Commission (NDRMC) Commissioner, Shiferaw Tekle-Mariam, said that the government is providing uninterrupted humanitarian aid to the liberated areas of Tigray region.
He explained that in accordance with the government’s promise, more than 3,000QTS of grains and nutritious foods have been delivered to the liberated areas of Tigray region in the first round.
The Commissioner said that the government is providing unfettered humanitarian aid to the Tigray region, adding that 3 trucks loaded with medical supplies and equipment are being sent to the liberated areas of the region.
He also pointed out that the government is doing extensive repair work so that normal services that have been interrupted during the war can start and institutions that have been destroyed can provide services.
The commissioner explained that the government will continue to expedite its humanitarian aid supplies in the Tigray region.
