Addis Ababa, March 9, 2022 (FBC) – Glocare Pharma Manufacturing PLC has inaugurated its pharmaceuticals investment project at Kilinto Industrial Park.
The factory installed by Glocare Pharma is the first pharmaceuticals manufacturing company to commence production at the park, according to the Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC).
The investment is believed to add a significant value to the sector by substituting imports, contributing to export, creating employment opportunities, improving access to medicine and transferring knowledge and skills, the Corporation added.
The Indian company has a capacity to produce 600 million tablets and 7 million caps of medicine on daily basis.
CEO of IPDC, Sandokan Debebe, the Health State Minister Ayele Teshome, Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia Robert Shetkintong and officials of Glocare Pharma have attended the inauguration ceremony.
