Addis Ababa, December 2, 2022 (FBC) – A fundraising campaign has been launched in Raya Kobo district in the presence of high government officials to support reconstruction of war-ravaged schools in the Amhara Regional State.
Chief Administrator of the Amhara Regional State, Yilkal Kefale, regional and zonal officials and religious leaders are in attendance of the fundraising event.
Dr. Abate Getahun, General Manager of the Amhara Conflict-Affected Areas Rehabilitation Fund Office, stated that the regional government has already budgeted 1 billion birr for the ongoing reconstruction efforts.
Four reconstruction projects to be implemented on schools, health care centers, veterinary clinics and agricultural instutions have already been launched, he added, announcing a plan to hold similar campaigns in all war affected areas in the region.
He called upon all Ethiopians at home and abroad to actively participate in the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts.
