Addis Ababa, December 2, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador of France to Ethiopia, Remmi Marechaux announced a plan to reinitiate the renovation project of rock-hewn churches of Lalibela.
During his discussion with the Minister of Innovation and Technology, Belete Molla (PhD), the Ambassador Remmi Marechaux affirmed readiness of France to resume the renovation works at the historical churches Lalibela.
Ambassador Remi stated that once peace is restored in northern parts of the country, his country will soon reinitiate projects having to do with protecting Lalibela heritages.
Lalibela has been liberated from TPLF’s control, and is a major step that helps France to resume the renovation project of the rock-hewn churches, Belete said.
