Addis Ababa, May 10, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador of France Remi Marechaux reaffirmed commitment of his country to deepen diplomatic and economic cooperation with Ethiopia.
Ambassador Remi Marechaux discussed various issues with President of Amhara Regional State, Agegnehu Teshager.
The two exchanged view on latest developments in Ethiopia particularly in the Amhara region and explored ways how to enhance multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Remi Marechaux reaffirmed that France is keen to assist Ethiopia in developing social infrastructure in Amhara region.
He also expressed commitment of France to support rehabilitation efforts of the Amhara Regional Government in reinstating displaced people sheltred in various places across the region.
France is committed to collaborate with Ethiopia in several areas of cooperation including Military, economic, cultural spheres, the ambassador noted.
It is to be recalled that the government of France vowed to renovate Ethiopia’s UNESCO inscribed historical site of Lalibela in Amhara Regional State.
