Addis Ababa, May 30, 2022 (FBC) – State Minister of the Ministry of Finace, Semereta Sewasew received a delegation from France led by Director of French Development Agency (AFD) Africa Department, Christian Yoka.
The State Minister and the French delegation discussed on ways of enhancing economic cooperation between Ethiopia and France.
Semereta explained to the delegation about the homegrown economic reform and activities being undertaken by the government to foster the private sector and capacitate effectiveness of public enterprises.
Saying that the bilateral relations between the two countries date back to more than a century, the State Minister disclosed that France has currently financing 11 development projects in Ethiopia.
Christian Yoka, for his part, said the strong bilateral ties and cooperation between France and Ethiopia will remain unshakable despite the changes in the country and the region as well.
He further reaffirmed France’s commitment to continue development and humanitarian support to Ethiopia.
