MOSCOW, February 18 (Sputnik) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock, met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference and discussed economic relations and stability in Asia, the German Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
“The range of topics in China-German relations is broad: from bilateral & economic cooperation to global issues such as the security of sea lanes in the Red Sea or regional stability in Asia,” the ministry said on X.
This year, the Munich Security Conference is taking place from February 16-18. Over 450 high-profile officials are expected to attend the meeting to discuss international security issues, including heads of state, ministers, leading personalities of international and non-governmental organizations, high-ranking representatives of industry, media, academia, and civil society. The forum was founded in 1963.
