Addis Ababa, September 29, 2024 (FBC) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie met with the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, in New York on the sidelines of the 79th annual session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA79).
On the course of their discussion, Foreign Minister Taye and Secretary-General Antonio Guterres discussed regional peace and security issues, including the situations in Somalia, South Sudan and the Sudan.
The two officials underlined the need for de-escalating tension in the Horn of Africa region to ensure peace and security, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
