First-ever high-level delegation from Kyrgyz Republic arrives in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, January 13, 2025 (FMC) – A high-level delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Asein Isaev, has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, marking the first official visit of its kind since the establishment of the bilateral relations between the two countries in 2016.

Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Ambassador Nigus Kebede, Director General for Middle East, Asia and Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

During their stay in Addis Ababa, the delegation is scheduled to hold important meetings with high-ranking officials of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE). This important visit is aimed at deepening bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

This landmark visit follows a recent working visit of Jemal Beker Abdula to the Kyrgyz Republic in December 2024.

During his visit, Ambassador Jemal presented his credentials to Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and engaged in productive discussions with key officials. The visit of the Ambassador paves the way for establishment of a strong bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
