First Consult Ethiopia, MoLS sign MoU to train and employ repatriates

Addis Ababa, October 3, 2022 (FBC) – The Ministry of Labor and Skills-Ethiopia (MoLS) signed a memorandum of understanding with First Consult Ethiopia and JAMBO Cleaning Services to employ 5,000 repatriated citizens from different countries.

Minister of Labor and Skills, Muferihat Kamil, explained in the signing ceremony that the tripartite agreement with First Consult and JAMBO Ethiopia will help the government’s efforts to ensure the economic benefits of women and youth.

She pointed out that the work that will be commenced by engaging 5,000 repatriates in cleaning work will further benefit a large number of citizens.

Minister of State for Employment and Market Department of MoSL, Nigusu Tilahun, stated that a task force consisting of several ministries has been formed to establish and employ repatriates.

The Ministry confirmed that it is working on training the repatriates and facilitating them to get government support.

During the signing ceremony, the representatives of First Consult and JAMBO Cleaning Services said that they will work together with the Ministry of Labor and Skills to benefit young people, especially women, who have returned home with basic cleaning skills.
