Addis Ababa, September 28, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s COVID19 cases surged past 80,000 after the country reported 566 new cases yesterday.
The new cases were reported out of the 5,278 laboratory tests conducted in 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health’s report, the number of confirmed cases now stands at 80,003.
The death toll from the virus also jumped to 1,238 after 8 people died in the reported period.
Some 944 patients have recovered from the virus to bring the total recoveries to 34,960.
The country has so far conducted 1,312,910 laboratory tests.
