Ethiopia’s COVID-19 cases increase to 365

Addis Ababa, May 19, 2020 (FBC) –The number of the coronavirus (COVID-19)) cases in Ethiopia has risen to 365 after 14 people tested positive in the past 24 hours.

The new identified cases were out of the 3, 271 laboratory tests conducted in the past 24 hours, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health.

All the cases are Ethiopian nationals from 9-68 years of age, of which 6 have a travel history abroad, 7 contract with confirmed cases, and one neither of the two causes.

Of the new positive cases, 9 are from Addis Ababa, one from Tigray, three from Somali and one from Oromia regional states.

Four more patients have also recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 120.

The virus has so far claimed five lives in Ethiopia.
