Ethiopia’s 6th general election kicks off 

Addis Ababa, June 21, 2021 (FBC) – The 6th Ethiopian general election kicked off early in this morning at 6:AM local time across several parts of the country.

Many have flocked to polling stations starting before dawn, and have been awaiting their turn to participate in the historic polling process.

Residents of Jimma and Agaro towns have already started casting their vote as many constituencies have already opened their doors for voters. Voters in Adama and Debre Birhan towns and North Shewa Zone have started casting their ballots.

Hundreds of thousands of voters in major cities including Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa have casted their ballots as almost all constituencies all over the world are seeing active participation of the citizens.

Local and international observers and media are present in polling stations across the country.
