Addis Ababa, December 8, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Embassy in Juba, South Sudan held a discussion forum in which representatives of the Ethiopian community discussed a wide range of issues including government’s activities to bring perpetrators to justice and rebuild Tigray.
Religious leaders, representatives of business communities and mutual aid associations, hotel owners, among other participated in the discussion which focused at current situation in Ethiopia.
The participants observed a minute of silence to remember troops of the Northern Command of the National Defence Force slain by the TPLF Junta forces and members of the national army who lost their lives while fighting with the renegade faction to ensure law and order in the country.
Ethiopian Ambassador to South Sudan, Teferi Tadesse explained to the participants of the meeting that the government is working to bring perpetrators to justice and reconstruct infrastructure affected by the law enforcement operation in Tigray.
He added that activities are underway to rehabilitate people affected by the law enforcement operation in the region.
Representatives of the Ethiopian Diaspora Community in Juba, to themselves, vowed to contribute to the rehabilitation of the affected citizens in Tigray.
The community also discussed developments related to the construction of the Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam (GERD) and pledged continued support to the successful completion of the dam.
They bought bond with 50,000 US Dollars as part of financial contribution for construction of GERD.
