Addis Ababa, September 21, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to connecting Africa and Europe by maintaining an uninterrupted 60 years of service to Rome, as stated by Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew.

On Friday, Ethiopian Airlines Group has marked 60 years of uninterrupted service to the captivating city of Rome, Italy. Marking the occasion, the airline hosted a celebration in the Eternal City, Rome, to commemorate this diamond jubilee achievement.

The event was attended by government officials from both Ethiopia and Italy, corporate guests, stakeholders as well as Ethiopian Airlines executives, including Ambassador of Ethiopia to Italy and Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to UN Rome, Demitu Hambisa, Italian Ambassador to Ethiopia Agostino Palese, Ethiopian Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Lemma Yadecha, higher officials from “Aeroporti di Roma” (ADR), Ethiopian Airlines representatives in Rome and Milan, and other invited guests.

In light of this landmark, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, stated: “We are incredibly proud to celebrate 60 years of uninterrupted service to Rome.”

He was also quoted by Times Aerospace, saying: “This milestone is a testament to our unwavering dedication to connecting people and fostering economic growth between Africa and Europe. We are grateful for the support of our valued customers and partners throughout these six decades.”
