Addis Ababa, July 18, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it will resume direct flights between Bahir Dar and Kombolcha cities in the Amhara region, starting from July 20, 2024.
The decision comes in response to frequent requests from passengers to restart the flight, which had been suspended due to conflict in the region.
Mr. Solomon Abebe, the head of operations at Kombolcha Airport, explained that the resumption of direct flights will significantly reduce travel time and costs for customers.
Previously, passengers had to transit via Addis Ababa to travel between Kombolcha and Bahir Dar, resulting in tiresome journeys and additional expenses.
Kombolcha Airport currently hosts six regular flights per day to and from Addis Ababa and is expected to accommodate more than six flights when necessary.
The resumption of direct flights between Bahir Dar and Kombolcha will provide passengers with a more convenient and efficient travel option.
