Ethiopian Startup Awards kicks off in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, June 3, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Startup Awards, an event recognizing innovative entrepreneurs, has commenced its proceedings in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Truneh.

The ceremony, held in the capital city, brought together a diverse audience of senior government officials, including Minister of Labor and Skills, Ms. Muferihat Kamil, CEO of Global Startup Awards, Kim Balle, and representatives from various startups.

The program, co-hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS), Global Startup Awards, and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MInT), will span two days, providing a platform for startups to showcase their innovative ideas and compete for awards.

During the event, the startups that will represent Ethiopia in the Eastern Africa Startup Awards will be announced, further fueling the motivation among participants and attendees alike.
