Addis Ababa, September 29, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s premier clubs football competition, the Ethiopian BetKing Premier League, new season returns on Friday September 30, 2022 at the Bahir Dar Stadium, said the League’s governing body.
The new season kicks off at the Bahir Dar Stadium, where Bahir Dar City FC host the newly promoted Ethio Electric FC and Wolkite Kenema FC takes on Arba-Minch FC on Friday.
Champions St. George SC face new-comers Ethiopia Medin FC on Saturday 1 October, Ethiopian Coffee meet Wolayta Dicha, on Sunday 02 October, whereas, last season’s runners-up, Fasil Kenema welcome Adama City on Monday 03 October 2022.
According to Ethiopian Premier League SC, three cities have been selected to host the first round of the new season fixtures; the first 5 weeks fixtures are scheduled to be played at the Bahir Dar Stadium, and Adama and Dire-Dawa cities set to host the remaining 10 weeks of fixtures.
Sixteen clubs will compete in the 2022/2022 campaign, including newcomers Legetafo-Legedadi, Ethio Electric, and Ethiopia Medin.
Super Sport is expected to continue broadcasting of all the Ethiopian Premier League new season fixtures.
Mekelakeya FC has changed its name into its former name, Mechal FC, as per Ethiopian PL SC.
