Addis Ababa, January 18, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Sudan Yibeltal Aimro discussed with his Norwegian counterpart Theresa Lukin on various issues including latest development and Tigray and the border issue between Ethiopia and Sudan.
Ambassador Yibeltal briefed the Norwegian counterpart on the humanitarian responses and rehabilitation activities underway in Tigray region and Ethiopia’s stance on ways to resolve border dispute with Sudan.
The ways that would help address border dispute with Sudan are clearly set in accordance with previous exchange of notes, the ambassador said, stressing need to address in a way to maintain sustainable peace among the two nations and the region as well.
Misinformation being circulated regarding humanitarian response in Tigray is intended to mar Ethiopia’s endeavors to bring lasting solution to the problems in the region, the ambassador said, calling all who are concerned about Tigray and Ethiopia at large to back government in the rehabilitation efforts, according to the embassy in Khartoum.
