Addis Ababa, May 18, 2022 (FBC) – The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF), a global network of sovereign wealth funds from over 40 countries, has admitted the Ethiopian Investment Holdings as an associate member.
Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) was founded in January 2022 as a holding company. EIH is the strategic investment arm of Ethiopia’s government responsible for providing professional oversight and optimizing commercial assets to unlock value.
EIH aims to attract investors by consolidating assets for monetization and establishing a co-investment platform further strengthening the national institutional framework for capital mobilization.
The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) is a voluntary organization of global sovereign wealth funds committed to promoting good governance and investment management practices through dialogue, research, and self-assessment.
The IFSWF also seeks to promote a deeper understanding of sovereign wealth fund activity amongst government and financial services institutions.
IFSWF associate membership is approved for institutions in the early stages of becoming sovereign wealth funds. EIH voluntarily agrees to implement the Santiago Principles.
