Addis Ababa, July 17, 2024 (FBC) – Dr. Dereje Duguma, Ethiopia’s State Minister of Health, delivered a keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony and Plenary of the 3rd Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia in Beijing, China, today.
Dr. Dereje highlighted Africa’s critical juncture in its quest for health and well-being, acknowledging the continent’s significant challenges and opportunities in creating resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems.
He noted Ethiopia’s new Health Policy, which adopts the Health in All Policies approach to ensure inclusivity.
Africa remains united in its determination to build back better, he added.
Ambassador Terefa Derbew, head of the mission also attended the event.
