Addis Ababa, February 6, 2024 (FBC) – An Ethiopiwn delegation, led by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Defense Forces, General Abebaw Tadesse, has taken part in the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia.
The World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia, which has involved participation of delegations and visitors from more than 105 countries including Ethiopia has showcased the defense of tomorrow and what the coming weapons will look like.
The show was organized by the General Authority for Military Industries and will run until Feb. 8, showcasing the Kingdom’s commitment to becoming a global hub for the defense industry, said a press release issued on Sunday.
The show featured participation from over 773 exhibitors representing various countries, alongside numerous government entities and leading local and international companies in the defense and security sector.
During his stay in Saudi Arabia, General Abebaw Tadesse and his delegation toured the Saudi Cadet School, a military apparel manufacturer, industrial research centers, and the companies showed interest in working with Ethiopia.
A four-member Ethiopian Defense Forces delegation led by General Abebaw Tadesse has returned home after attending the show.
