Addis Ababa, December 30, 2019 (FBC) – An Ethiopian delegation led by Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance, has concluded its visit to China.
During the visit, the delegation met with heads of Chinese ICBC, SINOSURE, NDRC, MOFCOM, EXIM Bank, CDB, CADFund to discuss bilateral development cooperation between the two countries.
Ahmed briefed them and Chinese investors on the ongoing comprehensive socio-economic and political reform in Ethiopia and sought Chinese strengthened assistance to it.
The two countries agreed to further boost development and investment cooperation under the frameworks of Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Finance Minister also met and held discussions with heads of companies that have already invested and planning to invest in Ethiopia.
During the discussion, the companies expressed desire to participate in the privatization of state-owned projects in Ethiopia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
