Ethiopian ambassador meets with UN resident coordinator in China

Addis Ababa, March 17, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to China, Teshome Toga conferred with Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in the country Siddharth Chatterjee on various issues.

The ambassador and the resident coordinator discussed reform activities being undertaken by the UN and Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

The two further exchanged views on the ongoing Ethiopia-Kenya cross border initiative activities.

Ambassador Teshome briefed the resident coordinator that Ethiopia has attracted 1.6 Billion Birr in Foreign Direct Investment and the country’s mining exports saw robust growth.

Teshome expressed optimism that more foreign capital would flow into Ethiopia and Chinese companies would seize this opportunity.
