Addis Ababa, September 2, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s biggest flag carrier, today announced that it has suspended its flights to and from Asmara, Eritrea.
In an official statement, the Airline confirmed that the decision will be effective from tomorrow, 3 September 2024.
“Ethiopian Airlines regrets to inform its valued customers travelling to/from Asmara that it has suspended its flights to Asmara effective September 3, 2024, due to very difficult operating conditions it has encountered in Eritrea that are beyond its control,” the official statement said.
“Ethiopian Airlines shall do all possible to rebook affected passengers on other airlines at no additional cost. Alternatively, passengers can receive full refund for their tickets,” the Airline stated.
The Airline informed its customers that they can contact the nearest Ethiopian Airlines office or Ethiopian Global Call Center for any assistance, with contact details shown on Ethiopian Airlines website at www.ethiopianairlines.com.
