Addis Ababa, December 27, 2022 (FBC) – The Government of Ethiopia has officially unveiled national emergency preparedness and response roadmap to be implemented in the coming eight years.
The roadmap is said instrumental to help consolidate efforts of stakeholders towards a better emergency preparedness and response.
According to Commissioner of the National Disaster Risk Management Commission, Ambassador Shiferaw Teklemariam, the road map will to detect, monitor, analyze and forecast hazards and put in place effective prevention mechanisms.
Ambassador Shifereraw noted that the government is working in partnership with stakeholders to create disaster-resilient community.
