Addis Ababa, January 19, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Sri Lanka have affirmed readiness to strengthen commercial ties and collaborate on multilateral issues.
This was disclosed after the meeting between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe in Kampala, Uganda, on the sidelines of the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
“In our bilateral meeting with President Ranil Wickremesinghe of Sri Lanka we affirmed our readiness to enhance commercial ties and collaborate on multilateral issues,” PM Abiy said via a social media post after his meeting with President Wickremesinghe.
PM Abiy also held a sideline meeting with the Kenyan President William Ruto on regional and bilateral issues.
