Addis Ababa, September 3, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met at his office on Monday with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, to discuss regional and multilateral issues of mutual concern.
The two sides also discussed the ongoing preparations for the BRICS Heads of State and Government Summit, which will be held in Russia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, they agreed on the importance of scaling up bilateral relations with various engagements and ensuring that previously signed agreements are fully implemented.
Meanwhile, State Minister Mesganu also had a meeting on Monday with Hanna Tetteh, Special Envoy of UN Secretary General for the Horn of Africa.
It as indicated that the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest in the Horn of Africa.
