Ethiopia reports five more COVID-19 cases

Addis Ababa, April 25, 2020 (FBC) -Ethiopia has reported five new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), out of the 1, 019 samples taken over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 122.

Four of the five cases are Chinese nationals residing in Sebeta town, Oromia regional state, who had contact with previously confirmed case, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health.

The other one is an Ethiopian living in Addis Ababa, it said.

Ethiopia has so far reported three deaths and 25 recoveries from the virus.

The number of cases worldwide has hit more than 2.8 million, with close to 198,000 deaths and more than 811,000 recoveries.
