Ethiopia, Qatar sign MoU to promote healthcare cooperation

Addis Ababa, December 16, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health and Qatar’s Public Health Ministry have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the field of health.

The agreement was signed virtually today by Ethiopia’s Minister of Health Lia Tadesse and Undersecretary of Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, Abdellah Ibrahim Al Emadi.

The ambassadors of the respective countries have also attended the signing ceremony held virtually.

During the ceremony, the two sides have expressed their strong commitment to elevate the bilateral relations in the health sector.

According to the agreement, the two parties vowed to jointly undertake research, exchange available information, improve primary health care systems, and collaborate on health professional development among others.
