Ethiopia prioritizes peace, sovereignty of the Country – Former Knesset Member

Addis Ababa, September 02, 2022 (FBC) – The government of Ethiopia prioritizes the sovereignty of the country as well as its peace, said Shlomo Molla, a former member of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset).

Shlomo Molla told The Jerusalem Post that the Ethiopian government’s defensive measures to fight the war, initiated by the terrorist TPLF, are because it is a government that prioritizes the sovereignty of the country as much as it wants peace.

Other international institutions including the African Union (AU), the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) should acknowledge the Ethiopian government’s commitment to peace and support the repeated calls to TPLF to end the war, he said.

He noted that the terrorist group is only known for killing civilians, raping and other barbaric acts of violence.

He further articulated that the terrorist TPLF’s robbery of fuel and humanitarian aid from WFP warehouse and repurposing it to the war shows that it is not ready for peace in any way and it still wants to extend its evil acts in the name of innocent victims.

The law enforcement measures being taken by the government to protect the nation from a threat posed by the terrorist group is as crystal clear that government is only committed to peace, national sovereignty and public safety, stated the Israeli politician.

He also called on the international community to condemn and register this notorious group as a terrorist, which is known for genocide, displacing innocent citizens, and destroying public service infrastructure, institutions, churches and mosques.
