Ethiopia partakes in 2nd Int’l Public Security Cooperation Forum

Addis Ababa, September 23, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian delegation is participating in the Second International Public Security Cooperation Forum, which was held under the theme “One world; Mutual Safety” in China’s Jiangsu province Lianyungang city.

The Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash Gebre-Michael also the current president of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) and a member of the International Public Security Cooperation Forum Board, presented the reform works and achievements of the security and security institutions in Ethiopia at the forum.

On the sidelines of the forum, Commissioner General Demelash consulted with the President of the International Police Organization (Interpol), the Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong and the Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi.

According to the Ethiopian Federal Police, they agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the countries as well as with Interpol.

It was also indicated that the President of Interpol will visit Ethiopia soon.
