Addis Ababa, December 15, 2021 (FBC) – Minister of Innovation and Technology Belete Molla (PhD) has conferred with Ambassador of Pakistan to Ethiopia, Shozab Abass on how to speed up establishment of the Ethiopia-Pakistan Forum on Science Diplomacy and enhance partnership between Ethiopia and Pakistan in the science and technology sectors.
Belete stressed need to expedite efforts to effectively implement agreements signed between the two countries so that the forum will be formed soon for mutual benefit of people of the two countries.
Trilateral MoU has been signed so far between the Ethiopian Innovation and Technology Ministry, Pakistan Science and Technology Ministry and COMSATS University of Islamabad for realization of the joint collaboration.
According to the Ambassador, the forum to be established will focus on ICT and digital economy building, environmental protection, water technology and health areas.
The Innovation and Technology, Belete Molla (PhD) expressed Ethiopia’s commitment for the establishment of the forum and pledged all the necessary support to the process.
