Addis Ababa, July 17, 2024 (FBC) – In a move aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering cooperation, Ethiopia has opened an honorary consulate in Athens, Greece.
The consulate was inaugurated by Ambassador Mesganu Arga, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The state minister also handed over letter of appointment to Giorgios Bikas, who is the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Ethiopia in Greece.
Ambassador Mesganu expressed his confidence that Giorgios Bikas would work diligently to further enhance the long-standing relationship between Ethiopia and Greece.
The Minister of State also emphasized the potential for increased collaboration in trade and investment, which could have a significant impact on the development of bilateral relations.
This development underscores Ethiopia’s commitment to expanding its diplomatic presence and strengthening its partnerships with other nations, in pursuit of mutual benefits and global cooperation.
