Addis Ababa, October 10, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Morocco have reached an agreement to reinforce their cultural, historical, and religious ties, following discussions between an Ethiopian delegation and Moroccan officials.
The Ethiopian delegation, led by the Ministry of Peace, engaged in talks with Morocco’s Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Tawfiq.
Keiredin Tezera (PhD), Minister of State for Peace, emphasized that the cultural and religious similarities between the Moroccan and Ethiopian peoples should be harnessed to foster stronger bilateral relations.
Minister Tawfiq highlighted Ethiopia’s esteemed status among Muslims worldwide, noting its historical significance in welcoming the messengers of Prophet Muhammad.
He affirmed that his ministry is committed to collaborating closely with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Peace to enhance the cultural, historical, and religious bonds between their nations.
