Addis Ababa, June 19, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia has launched today an online transport fee payment system aims to transform the sector in several aspects.
The Transport Minister, Dagmawit Moges, on the launching ceremony, said the new system helps avoid unnecessary physical contacts while people go for bust ticket booking in terminals.
She said the new online payment to be applied in the transport sector has crucial role in preventing spread of coronavirus pandemic besides modernizing the sector for it avoids gatherings and physical contacts.
The technology also helps passengers to save time and labor for they can preserve tickets from wherever they are through their smart phones, according to the information from the Transport Ministry.
