Addis Ababa, June 12, 2024 (FBC) – A Gabonese delegation led Director General of country’s Civil Aviation organization, Eric Tristan is in Addis Ababa to explore Ethiopia’s expertise in the aviation sector.
Deputy General Directors of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, Mengistu Nigussie and Michael Tesfaye received the Gabonese delegation and briefed them on major activities the government is undertraining to transform the sector.
The Gabonese delegation expressed an interest to explore the areas that would help them cooperate with Ethiopia in the aviation industry.
They also expressed a desirous to learn from Ethiopia in the areas including formulation and implementation of regulations and other related legal documents, and in licensing and certification spheres.
Deputy Director General Mengistu Nigussie explained to the Gabonese delegation that the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority has immense experiences in offering trainings in air traffic management and control, Communication, navigation and surveillance fields, pledging to share institution’s experience with Gabon.
