Addis Ababa, December 12, 2023 (FBC) – The FDRE Ministry of Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding with its Italian counterpart to foster education collaboration between the two sisterly countries.
The MoU signed by Ethiopia’s Minister of Education Prof. Birhanu Nega, and his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Valditara. The MoU is expected to establish strategic cooperation both in the general and higher education sectors.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Birhanu Nega highlighted the reform activities of the education sector in his country. The Minister noted the efforts made to provide equitable education to citizens regardless of their financial background, in that regard.
Giuseppe Valditara, Minister of Education of the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, on his part, expressed his ambition to cooperate with Ethiopia in the fields of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET), language, culture, students and teachers exchanges.
