Addis Ababa, February 18, 2022 (FBC) – Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia, Alelegne Admasu and the Minister of Industry, Melaku Alebel discussed yesterday ways of enhancing cooperation in the investment sector.
Melaku said Ethiopia and Israel have many things in common that created a strong bond between peoples of the two countries, adding that such a solidary has taken the ties between the two countries to a higher level.
The Minister noted that a large number of Israelis participated in the #NoMore international movement held in various parts of the world to fend off external pressures on Ethiopia.
He expressed gratitude and deep respect for the people of Israel for their partnership with Ethiopia.
Melaku added that many Israeli investors have been successfully operating in Ethiopia. He said the Ethiopian government has facilitated a number of opportunities for foreign investors to invest in the country, one of which is the construction of an integrated agro-industrial park.
He said three of the four integrated agro-industry parks build by the Government have been inaugurated and made operational, reiterating support to investors interested in engaging in this sector.
Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia Alelegne Admasu, for his part, said the relationship between Israel and Ethiopia in the deep-rooted and historical pledging commitment to enhance the ties.
The Ambassador further demanded that the bureaucracy and some hassles in the customs area be improved so that conducive climate will be facilitated for Israeli investors who are interested to invest in Ethiopia.
